Back in the late 1940's Vincenzo Cassara started to plant grapevines on his property in Crete,Illinois. Years passed and the vines were neglected and eventually forgotten. In 1997 Vincenzo's son Frank Cassara, while clearing out the property discovered his father's grapevines and decided he would try his hand at growing grapes, that was the beginning of Easy Street Vineyard. Today Frank has over 2 acres of vines with numerous varieties of grapes. Easy Street Vineyard has turned into a family run Vineyard and Winery with Frank as the master winemaker.

Easy Street Vineyard is not a very large vineyard that is located in the heart of a residential area in Crete. Do to this fact, we do NOT have a tasting room or shop at the vineyard location. We also are NOT permitted to have tours of the vineyard.
